Interesting to draw comparison with marriage and academic publishing, both of which it can be argued are seriously behind the times. This happens in the real world all the time, there are many Jo Cooks, most people just get on and deal with it.

You could also look at ClaimID :-)

Jo,

Maybe you just need to get more into the UNIX spirit, since then Archaeogeek is different from ArchaeoGeek, and no one will be confused.

I admit that I personally would probably be confused, having long ago seen "The last motion picture" when I want to see "The last picture show", and recently found out that "The Same River Twice" and "Same River Twice" were very different motion pictures, although both are about rafting.

Short names, whether for movies, books, or people, are always going to a be a problem, but you've got the URL.

Could be worse, Jo! I've recently discovered that ":Paul Ramsey" is posting inflammatory right wing political videoblogs to YouTube. Doh! Eventually this will end in a fiery war of SEO, it's inevitable.
